Alexis Hoak, B.A.
Alexis Hoak (She/her/hers) is a Master’s practicum student from Virginia Tech’s Counselor Education program. Alexis received her B.A. in English and Psychology from James Madison University and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Virginia Tech.
Alexis has a special interest in grief and loss, as well as trauma work. She utilizes Relational Cultural Theory (RCT) in her counseling and her goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space for a variety of clients while helping them navigate a variety of changes, experiences, and processes. In Alexis’ approach to counseling, she strives to foster relationships of mutual respect and encourages clients to explore the complexities of human relationships.
