Derek

Derek is a two-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever who joined Cook Counseling Center in December 2018. Derek was released during his training at Guiding Eyes for the Blind due to a medical condition. Derek is excited to join the Hokie nation and serve as a therapy dog. When not working, Derek likes to run and do yoga, and most of all, sleep. Derek’s super-power is his “zesty-ness.” Interesting tidbit: Moose’s father is Derek’s great-grandfather.
