Jenny Orr

Master’s Counseling Intern

Jennifer (she/her/hers) is a Master's counseling intern from Radford University's Counselor Education program, currently finishing her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Jenny is passionate about providing a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients to grow in, and helping clients become who they want to be through their collaborative therapeutic relationship. Her approach is integrative, with elements from Gestalt, CBT, mindfulness, and somatic experiencing on the strong basis of person-centered and feminist therapy. Her areas of interest include grief/loss, anxiety, depression, intimate partner violence, and eating disorders, as well as perinatal issues such as infertility, abortion, and miscarriage.

Jenny received her Bachelor's equivalent in English and German Linguistics and Literature from the University of Wuerzburg, Germany, where she grew up. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in German Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill, and used to teach German at the college level, including at Virginia Tech.
