Jess Westcott, Ph.D.., NCC
Jess is a resident in psychology intern at Cook Counseling Center. They earned their B.S. in Neuroscience at Baylor University and their M.A. in School Counseling at Marquette University. They have recently completed their Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University. Jess enjoys counseling all college students, regardless of presenting concern. They have experience working with students that are struggling with depression, anxiety, shame, identity development, relational concerns, and issues related to religious/spiritual identity. They have a passion for working with students who identify as LGBTQ+ or are exploring their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Jess’s approach to therapy utilizes a relational cultural framework and integrates interpersonal process and schema theories. In their free time, Jess enjoys cooking with their wife, biking, and cuddling their cats Bucky and Pepper.
