Kara Hoff, Psy.D.

Mental Health Professional / Resident in Clinical Psychology

Kara earned her B.S. in Clinical Psychology at Marywood University and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Scranton. She also obtained her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, and completed her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University in Tampa, FL.

Kara enjoys working with college students regardless of the presenting concerns. Her professional interests include working with grief and loss, sexual trauma, LGBTQIA+, intercollegiate athletes and sport culture, and perfectionism. In clinical practice, Kara works from an integrative model with a strong emphasis on cognitive and dynamic interpersonal approaches. She believes the therapeutic relationship is the driving agent of change in therapy and works mindfully to provide a space where clients can feel safe and heard while navigating the uncomfortable.

In her free time, Kara enjoys playing tennis, practicing nature photography, and spending time with her dog son named Chase.
