Moose is a seven-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever and has served full-time as a therapy dog for Cook Counseling Center for the past five years. Moose was born and raised at Guiding Eyes for the Blind in New York. After being diagnosed with a minor medical condition during his formal training, Moose was subsequently released and adopted by Dr. Trent Davis.
Moose was recently named the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association’s 2019 animal hero for his devoted service. Moose is passionate about helping reduce the stigma often associated with mental illness.
Moose loves being part of the Hokie community... When not working, Moose likes to swim, play tug of war, and most of all, eat. If you see Moose around campus, please say hi!
