Tavia Sturgill, M.A.
Triage Clinician

Tavia (she/her) earned her M.A in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She is a Triage Clinician at Virginia Tech working towards her LPC under Robert Ritchey, M.S., LPC. She has a passion for social justice, advocacy and creating spaces where people feel safe to be authentic. Tavia’s therapeutic approach is grounded in culturally sensitive, relational care often incorporating elements of Existentialism and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
In her free time, Tavia can most likely be found writing poetry, dancing, or embarking on a new hobby as a side quest (recommendations are always welcome).
