Jessica Curry, PMHNP-BC
Jessica Curry is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping people feel comfortable, understood, and involved in their mental health care. She believes that good psychiatric care starts with listening and taking the time to understand the whole person—not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. She is a graduate from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS in 2017.
Jessica has experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns and enjoys helping patients better understand what they’re experiencing and what treatment options are available to them. Her approach combines evidence-based medication management with education, collaboration, and practical strategies that support overall well-being.
At Virginia Tech, Jessica looks forward to working with students as they navigate the many transitions, pressures, and experiences that come with college, young adulthood, and all of lifes stages. She strives to create a welcoming, inclusive, non-judgmental space where patients can speak openly, ask questions, and feel like an active partner in their care.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys home improvement and design projects, spending time with her family, dogs, and cats. Typically, she has at least one project underway that turned out to be a little more complicated than she originally planned.
