Brynn (she/her) is a Doctoral Psychology Intern at Cook Counseling Center. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Western Kentucky University and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University, where she is also pursuing her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. Prior to joining a college counseling center, Brynn primarily worked in community mental health settings, providing counseling to clients across the lifespan and from diverse backgrounds across the world.

Brynn’s professional interests include trauma, shame, depression, interpersonal and family-of-origin concerns, identity development, as well as multicultural and LGBTQ+ issues. At the heart of her therapeutic work is the belief that meaningful change begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship grounded in mutual respect, trust, understanding, and empathy. She draws from humanistic, psychodynamic, existential, and Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) approaches to support her work with clients.

Outside of work, Brynn enjoys a variety of creative hobbies, including film photography, painting, knitting, and writing. She also enjoys exploring nature, going to the movies with her partner, and spending time with her two cats, Misty and Gimli.
