Outreach

Outreach and consultation services are an integral part of Cook Counseling Center’s mission of reaching out to students, faculty, and staff through the provision of educational programming and workshops.

Cook Counseling Center will come to your organization, classroom, or other venue to share information about our services and how students can access them.

This presentation offers an overview of how to connect with the center, highlights available campus resources, and explains the various services that we offer. If you are interested in additional topics, we are happy to connect you with other relevant campus resources.

Requests for orientation to the center’s services involve completing an outreach request form. Requests should be submitted at least one month prior to the desired presentation date, and we will contact you by phone or email to confirm your request. If you would like to request the Orientation to Cook Counseling Services presentation, please complete the request form below:

Note: These request forms are not a method of contact for counseling or help in an emergency. If you do need counseling, you must call the center at 540-231-6557 during the day and after-hours to reach the on-call counselor. If you do not feel like you can keep yourself safe, call 911 to receive immediate help.
