Rebecca Brace, L.C.S.W.
Rebecca is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Cook Counseling who works with individual clients and co-facilitates Understanding Self and Others therapy groups. She is a compassionate and values-driven clinician with a background in bereavement counseling, instructional design, and expressive arts.
Rebecca's professional interests include grief, life transitions and loss, self-compassion, body trust, and helping individuals and couples navigate challenges in their relationships. As an LGBQTI+ affirming, body-size-inclusive, and polyamorous-friendly clinician, Rebecca believes that the foundation of the best therapeutic relationships starts with respect, non-judgment, understanding, and empathy.
Outside of work, Rebecca is a co-guardian of two dogs, two Russian Blue cats (with 7 legs between them), and an ever-expanding record collection.
