Outreach Program Request

Cook Counseling Center will come to your organization, residence hall, classroom, or other venue to present on a variety of topics related to mental health and study skills.

Outreach programs can be requested throughout the year, however it is advisable that Cook Counseling Center be contacted two weeks in advance of the presentation date to allow our staff enough time to prepare for the presentation.

Cook Counseling Center receives a large number of requests toward the end of the semester, which may make it difficult for staff members to honor requests made at that time. If the program is cancelled or postponed, Cook Counseling Center should be notified.

If you would like to request a program, please complete the request form. Your request should be submited at least one month in advance with the exception of an urgent need response. We will contact you by phone or e-mail to confirm your request. If you do not hear from us you can call us at 231-6557.

If you would like to request a presentation by the Cook Counseling Center PALs, please fill out a request form here.

Please note that these request forms are not a method of contact for counseling or help in an emergency. If you do need counseling, you must call the center at 540-231-6557 during the day and after-hours to reach the on-call counselor. If you do not feel like you can keep yourself safe, call 911 to receive immediate help.
