Samuel Browning, M.S.

Samuel Browning is a Doctoral Psychology Intern at Cook Counseling Center. He earned his B.S. in Psychology and M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Tech and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the same institution. Samuel is dedicated to supporting students as they navigate the challenges of early adulthood. He is particularly passionate about helping students discover what matters most to them, connect more deeply with others, and better manage anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

In the therapy room, Samuel strives to build a genuine, collaborative relationship with each student. He is strongly influenced by humanistic and behavioral approaches to therapy, while also drawing from interpersonal and emotion-focused approaches. At the heart of his work is a desire to help clients better understand their experiences, explore their values, and develop strategies for feeling more fulfilled in their everyday lives.

Outside of work, Samuel enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter (often driving in search of good Asian food), learning about new cultures, and listening to music.
