Ashley Wilson, M.A.
Ashley is a Resident in Counseling at Cook Counseling Center. She earned her B.S. in Psychology at Radford University and her M.S. in Counseling Education at Radford University. She enjoys working with a diverse population of college students. Her clinical interests are working with students with depression, sexual trauma, PTSD, social anxiety, ADHD, and perfectionism. She hopes to foster a safe environment with students by taking a humanistic approach. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy and utilizes tools of mindfulness and self-compassion to help clients reach their goals. Her style includes fostering a calm environment and developing a therapeutic relationship as she believes the relationship is the main motivator for change.
In her free time, she enjoys gaming, crocheting, and playing with her two dogs.
