Julie Chandler, LCP
Julie (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Cook Counseling Center. She enjoys working with college students in both individual and group therapy. Additionally, she serves as the liaison between Cook Counseling Center and the APIDA+ Cultural and Community Center.
Julie is passionate about fostering a genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients. She strives to provide an open, warm, and safe space in which she can support clients in meeting their therapeutic goals. Her clinical interests include anxiety, mood disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and identity exploration/development. She works from an integrative, strengths-based model with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral and acceptance and commitment frameworks.
In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing the piano, being outdoors, playing video games, doing art projects, and spending time with her dog, Kola. She is originally from California, earned her B.A. in Psychology from San Francsico State University, her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University, and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University.
