Julie Chandler, Ph.D.
Julie (she/her) is a doctoral psychology intern at Cook Counseling Center. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Central Michigan University and enjoys working with college students in both individual and group therapy.
Julie is passionate about fostering a genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients. She strives to provide an open, warm, and safe space in which she can support clients in meeting their therapeutic goals. Her clinical interests include anxiety, mood disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and identity exploration/development. She works from an integrative, strengths-based model with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral and acceptance and commitment frameworks.
In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing the piano, being outdoors, playing video games, and doing art projects. She is originally from California, earned her B.A. in Psychology from San Francsico State University, and earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University.
