Derek

Derek is a yellow Labrador Retriever who joined Cook Counseling Center in December 2018. Derek was released during his training at Guiding Eyes for the Blind due to a minor medical condition. Derek is excited to be part of the Hokie nation and serve as a therapy dog. When not working, Derek likes to swim and retrieve (ideally at the same time). Derek also likes to demonstrate that he is indeed a lap dog! Interesting tidbit: Derek is the great nephew of our founding dog, Moose.
