Jacqueline Kosmas, M.S.

Jackie Kosmas (she/her) is a doctoral practicum student at Cook Counseling Center. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Virginia Tech and previously obtained her MA in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago and BA in Psychology from Michigan State University. Jackie strives to create a warm, welcoming, safe environment for her clients, as well as forging an authentic collaborative therapeutic relationship together. She is specifically interested in researching and treating eating disorders. Jackie has been conducting research on eating disorders for the past six years. She is passionate about increasing access to eating disorder treatment and helping individuals wherever they may be in their recovery journey. In addition to eating disorders, Jackie also has experience working with a variety of clients including concerns related to anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She leverages techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance committee therapy in her work.
In her free time, Jackie enjoys taking dance classes, playing the flute, and spending time with her friends and family.
