Embedded Counselor with Corps of Cadets
Erika graduated from Old Dominion University (2006) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services Counseling and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling and Human Development from Radford University (2013). As the embedded counselor for the Corps of Cadets, Erika provides a safe open-minded environment to increase one’s self-awareness. She often integrates her previous experiences of being a swim coach and collegiate athlete to assist others explore and establish meaningful short and long-term goals. Erika utilizes solution-focused, person centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based approaches and specializes in the following areas: stress-reduction, anxiety, anger management, and communication skills.
