Aaron Gardner, M.S., M.A.
Aaron Gardner (He/Him/His) is a psychology practicum student at Cook Counseling Center. He is passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate through anxiety, body image, racial discrimination, study habits, self-esteem/self-criticism, and issues related to a sense of belonging. In his practice, Aaron applies a person-centered, strengths-based, and positive psychology approach to foster self-compassion among students from diverse backgrounds and identities, including international students, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals. His goal is to provide a collaborative environment where students feel comfortable exploring their challenges. With a focus on student growth, Aaron helps clients build coping skills, improve self-awareness, and recognize their inherent strengths to enhance well-being. Currently, Aaron is a third-year Psy.D. candidate at Radford University. During his leisure hours, he delights in exploring local restaurants, unwinding with video games, and adding to his ever-growing collection of vinyl records.
