Outreach
Outreach and consultation services are an integral part of Cook Counseling Center’s mission of reaching out to students, faculty and staff through the provision of educational programming and workshops.
These programs and workshops are designed to enhance the learning and development of students, faculty and staff. Outreach services also include consultation when there is concern about a student's behavior or well-being. Programs that have been requested in the past include issues such as trauma response after a loss, stress management, adjusting to the first year of college, suicide prevention, orientation to Cook Counseling Center’s services, how to refer a friend to Cook Counseling Center, and depression in African Americans. The listed programs are available for request by faculty, staff, and students. If a desired topic is not listed, we will be happy to connect you with available resources on campus.
