Leslie Lowry, Ph.D.
Leslie is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Cook Counseling Center. She earned her B.A. in Psychology at Samford University and her M.Ed. in Educational Psychology and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University. Leslie has a passion for working with college students dealing with a wide variety of concerns. She is particularly interested in working with students to address identity development concerns, relationship concerns, and adjustment to college. Leslie approaches her work with students with the goal of meeting them where they are, building a warm and authentic relationship, and working together to help them meet their goals. She hopes to create an environment which fosters safety, understanding, and interpersonal growth for clients. Her approach to therapy is influenced by humanistic and interpersonal therapies. She also incorporates mindfulness, self-compassion, and other resources to help meet the client’s needs.
In her free time, Leslie enjoys painting, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.
