Rebecca Brace, M.S.W.
Rebecca is a Resident in Social Work at Cook Counseling Center. She is a compassionate and values-driven clinician with a background in bereavement counseling, instructional design, and expressive arts. Rebecca holds a Master of Social Work degree from Middle Tennessee State University and a B.A. in Theater from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.
Rebecca's professional interests include grief, life transitions and loss, mindfulness, self-compassion, body acceptance and weight stigma, and helping individuals navigate challenges in their relationships. As an LGBQTI+ affirming, body-size-inclusive, and polyamorous-friendly clinician, Rebecca believes that the foundation of the best therapeutic relationships starts with respect, non-judgment, understanding, and empathy.
Outside of work, Rebecca is a co-guardian of two dogs, two Russian Blue cats (with 7 legs between them), and an ever-expanding record and book collection.
