Taylor Oliphant, M.S.
Taylor is a Resident in Counseling at Cook Counseling Center under the direct supervision of Jenny Dye, LPC and is a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors. She earned both her B.S. in Behavioral Science with a minor in Child Advocacy and M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wilmington University.
Taylor has worked in the mental health field for ten years involving direct contact with children and adult survivors of trauma. She has worked directly with survivors from various ranges of abuse and neglect to help instill physical safety, healthy boundaries, and hope. She has clinical counseling experience at both a collegiate level and through private practice work.
Taylor utilizes a person-centered counseling approach incorporated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Existential based concepts. She firmly believes there is no “one way” to partake in therapy and looks forward to working with you.
During her free time, Taylor enjoys reading, traveling (especially fond of finding unique restaurants and coffee shops), and spending time with her loved ones.
